I went to an interesting presentation last week, presented by Chris Pycroft of the Douglas Development Partnership. It was all about the plans the Local Council have for Douglas, the capital city of the Isle of Man. I was quite impressed at the amount of thinking that had gone into the designs. It’s nice to see that things aren’t being done on a whim; and the thinking encompasses proper design principles with considerations for people who live, work and shop in the area.
