Add a map to your blog

It gives me great pleasure to let everyone know that I’ve managed to get my latest WordPress plugin out of the door. It’s a sidebar widget I’ve called GeoWidget that lets you add a map to your website. You an use the map for anything you like. You can show where you live, where your idol lives, or where you work. Here’s a look at what the administration console looks like:

Neat huh? The map display is interactive and supplied by Microsoft Live Earth. It’s the first time I’ve played around with mashups and I’m impressed at how easy it was to get great looking results. Anyway, if you have a WordPress blog download GeoWidget and let me know what you think.

  1. Tried installing it, and had a few problems. Probably my mistake somewhere.
Check the PPP forum post for fuller details.
Nice idea. Shame about the user (me) mucking it up ;)
PS It might be worth centring the widget on your blog, currently looks like it is justified to the right?
