Ugh!!’s Greymatter Honeypot

I was chatting with Ian this
morning, and asked him for some reading recommendations for a friend of mine who is
teaching himself OO. He’s very
keen and has already absorbed all
the basics, so I was looking for something to take him to the next level. These
were his recommendations:

• Object
  Thinking by Dave West
• Design
  patterns : elements of reusable object oriented software by Erich Gamma,
  Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson and John Vissides (the “Gang
  of Four“)
• Head
  First Design Patterns by Elisabeth Freeman, Eric Freeman and Bert Bates
• Refactoring
  to Patterns by Joshua Kerievsky

I really liked the look of Head
First Design Patterns, maybe when I have some free time, I’ll try to get my hands
on it. Actually, I’d better start studying for my
MBA first …
