Met up with Howard and Martin today. Conchango contracted them
out to Microsoft many many months ago and
I hadn’t seen them in ages. It’s great to see they’re doing fine. They’ve been working
on an internal project at Microsoft and have become quite proficient in .Net and CMS
2002. I had worked with Howard in the past on a CMS 2001 project (together with
a bunch of other products) and he has some great things to say about CMS. It’s good
to see how far it’s come.
It’s sad when you think about how much time people spend learning how to use products
which eventually get superceeded. It’s true that you always carry that knowledge with
you and it gives you insight into new things; however I regret not being able to use Foxpro any
more .. or dBase for that matter 🙂
