Hmm, I just realised that Valentine’s Day is only a couple of weeks away and I had no idea it was so close. Time seems to have a funny habit of flying away when you’re busy, then special days just sneak up on you like that. The one thing I remember about Valentine’s Day though was that it was one of the peaks in trading when we used to run a shop a few years ago. We had a few peaks like that, Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Valentine’s was one of those.
I’m sure there are a few retailers out there which hit a pretty huge high over Valentines. Card shops like Hallmark are bound to get a huge influx of business, as do gift and flower shops. If you plan early enough though, you can get some good deals online, for example buying your roses from JustFlowers.com and using a coupon from CouponChief.com to maximise your savings.
Well, retailers will probably have a busy day or week; but the rest of us can probably make the best of the occasion and use it to spoil someone. Whatever you have planned though, just make sure you have a great time with your loved ones. Remember, Valentine’s only comes once a year!
