WordPress 2.2

A new version of WordPress has been released. It has over 200 fixes and new features, so it’s bund to be awesome! I needed to upload this to my site, however had forgotten my FTP password. So I logged into my cPanel web hosting and promptly created a new account. This allowed me to go ahead with the upgrade.

Upgrading is a pretty simple process and I had written an upgrade guide for WordPress some time back. The hassle nw is going to be upgrading all my other blogs.

It’s always a good idea to keep you blog updated with the latest version of the software it’s running. This makes sure you’re protected from any exploits that may exist for older versions. So download your version of WordPress 2.2 today

  1. Hi Owen,

I’ll definitely be upgrading as well. Does your host not run Fantastico? This lets users upgrade (or install) things like WordPress with a single click. It’s pretty smooth and saves the download/upload process.

    Take care,
    Andrew

  2. HI Andrew,

Nope .. no Fantastico this end. But I’m quite happy to upgrade it myself .. the first couple of times ….

  3. My host is supposed to automatically upgrade my wordpress software but it doesn’t. Bleh. So I have to do it myself.

I want to upgrade but last time I did I royally screwed things up and i’m not sure if I want to do that again, lol.
