on Brand Monitoring. It outlines the four steps in Brand Monitoring specifically:

  • Data Collection from mainstream media, blogs and other sources
  • Data Processing by natural language methods or Bayesian filtering
  • Data Analysis like searching for particular keywords etc
  • Data Publishing to interested parties

This is the sort of work dedicated Brand Monitoring companies engage in, but smaller
companies can also use existing tools to perform a basic level of brand monitoring.
Tools like Google’s Blog Search, Alerts,
and Trends tools can all help provide a
certain level of information. >
