The other thing I liked about the theme is the fact that it actually comes with a comprehensive set of instructions in PDF format, which a lot of themes don’t supply. It’s also backed with a support forum that looks pretty busy.

Before you rush off an grab it, you’ll need to know that this is a premium wordpress theme which costs $75 for a single site license. This license still obliges you to keep a link back to their website, but you can remove this for an additional $20. If you want to use it on more than one website, you’ll need to purchase the Multiple Use license, which retails for $275. If you’re interested in reselling the theme, they have an affiliate scheme which returns a 50% payout to anyone selling the theme for them.

There’s a superb feature set sitting behind the theme and it’s a culmination of many hours of work from both of us. I’ve even managed to lose weight by skipping meals to work on the theme! It has tons and tons of options and some really exciting unique features (I love my media manager for example)

I’ve just put some final touches on the new theme to try and improve the way it looks. I’ve spaced out the sidebar widgets a bit and configured the footer to use 3 widget bars instead of 2. I’m not too sure if I have too much going on in the narrow sidebar widgets, so happy to accept any criticism from anyone.

I’ve also activated the Sidebar Ads module to see how it works and it seems to complement the blog really nicely. I’m using the Top Ads module to display some photos from the Isle of Man, which aren’t quite the right size, so that needs correcting.

Anyone see anything else they don’t like?

I’ve finally finished putting the last few tweaks on how the theme is working on this site. It’s not complete yet, I have a new colour scheme being prepared for it, but the page layout is going to stick. The theme itself has some other nice bits I’m not using, but who knows, I might in the future.

I like all the extra facilities this theme gives me. I like the Media section on the right; I’m hoping to populate this with cool tech videos I like. It’s a bit like getting a Magnet kitchen in, then chasing down some top-of-the-line Hansgrohe taps and some perfect blinds for it. You can hunt and hunt and hunt and when you find what you want it’s just bliss. I’ve been looking for a theme with sidebars the way I like them for ages. Well, this theme has a wide sidebar and 2 narrow ones and I can split my content every which way I like. I’ve had to resize some things, but I still have lots of space to play with.

I’ve been noticing for some time now that this blog is getting heavier and heavier. It’s just that I love having all those widgets in my sidebar. However, the reality is that I’m pretty sure that the ones below the fold hardly ever get seen by anyone. So, with that in mind I’ll be looking to thin it down a bit.

The question, as always, is whether to keep the current theme I have or whether to go for a new one. What do you think? Do you like this one or should I go for something that lets me pack more into a smaller space? Something with configurable areas and a double sidebar. What do you think?
