I’ve just come back from dinner with the IOM Social Media Club. We normally meet up on the Third Thursday of the month, but this time was special as it was on the Fourth Thursday; lucky for me otherwise I wouldn’t have managed to make it. Here are some photos from the evening:
It was a great evening, even though we did end up talking about diets and treadmills at a point. Here are some of the things we talked about:
There was lots more we talked about but you’ll have to come and visit us next time on Thursday 20th. Unfortunately I won’t be making this one, as I’ll be graduating in Edinburgh on that day!

Sounds like a great time was had by all…. congrats on the graduation!
Lord I hate tweeting–it is so vacuous. [/rampant opinion]
I really like the ManxWiki page. When I zoomed in on the google satellite map I could see your dog in the backyard – heh, heh… just kidding.
Sounds like you had a great time – even if you *did* have to talk about diets and treadmills.
Congrats on the graduation! I bet you’re excited!
With all the plugins available for WP (including Tweet My Blog) I can see how Tweeting can be seen as overtaking blogging, but I will remain an avid blogger for a while (Make too much $$$ doing it to stop)
Glad you enjoyed your social gathering and that Manx Wiki is really useful for finding out more about your Island.
I often wondered about blogging versus tweeting. I do both. I like both. I don’t think blogging will ever die completely though.
Yeah, the gathering was great! Anyone else in the Isle of Man want to join us?
I want to be there next time!
How could it possibly kill it at only 140 characters per.
