I always like learning about different types of technology. I was watching an old episode of Nip Tuck last week and one implement that was being used by the plastic surgeons was a flashing implement used to treat the skin. So I fired up my browser and tried to find out what it is.
Turns out it’s a technique called Photo Rejuvenation and you can read all about it on this page. It’s a a procedure that uses an intense pulsed light system to lessen wrinkles, blemishes and rosacea and can be used to spider vein treatment, correct pore size and minimise sun damage. Photo Rejuvenation improves the skin by working beneath the epidermis to increase collagen and tighten the skin. The intense pulsed light is attracted to both blood supply and melanin and removes unwanted facial veins and sun damage from the skin. Great use of light isn’t it?
The interesting thing about the technique is that it doesn’t involve any surgery and therefore you can have a short treatment and get straight back to your life. Amazing what new technology exists around us, isn’t it? And I also like that fact that I can find the answer to any question I have thanks to the Internet.
