Here’s an interesting idea. Agents of Value offer a set of outsourced webmaster services including web development, graphic design and search engine optimisation. While it’s not uncommon for companies to outsource seo, I don’t think I’ve come across anyone who offers to take over the entire webmaster function. Presumably this model replaces having an internal webmaster, but doesn’t go as far as to hand over your entire web design and hosting to an external company.
It’s interesting that, for an organisation that provides outsourced web development, their website is built around WordPress v1.5 which really needs a refresh. The other thing that was a bit hard to understand was what their prices actually cover. You can get a webmaster for $725, but the website doesn’t go into deal of how much time or how much effort that covers.
Still, it’s an interesting idea to provide a specialist service like this. I don’t think I’ve come across anyone before that offers such fine grained services in this sort of market.
