Inkjet paper

Had an interesting Sunday yesterday, as I installed a kit on our inkjet printer to use continuous ink instead of having to buy expensive cartridges all the time. It took some fiddling around, but should be worth it, as Camille loves printing out photos of Arthur and well, I like looking at them so everyone’s happy. I did come across a website that seems a perfect place to buy photo paper from, so I’ll have to pass it on to her.

It’s great that the Internet has allowed people to focus on specific niches like this. The net effect is that the trader is an expert in his own field, and the consumer can benefit from any volume discounts the retailer gets, as well as tap in the expertise of someone who specialises in a particular topic. In this case, I am but a lowly inkjet user and there are a number of products PhotoPaperDirect.com sells that I have never seen before. I would love it if someone would explain to me what “Satin paper” is and what it’s used for.
