WorkConnexions

It’s interesting to watch innovation in your local community. A new online community has been launced by Leo Cussons and Nathan Pledger here in the Isle of Man. It’s called Work Connexions and is the fruit of six months labour.

What they are trying to achieve is a marketplace for contractors and employers to meet and engage one another. The site is split into Requests and Offer sections. In Requests, you can post your recruitment adverts, requests for proposals and other invitations. In Offers you can post an advert of your own, advertising your services and skills. The key to making the whole thing work is the ability for both parties to leave feedback about one another, which is valuable to help other members make an informed choice. It also helps keep both parties honest, knowing that their actions will be reported on.
