I’m currently working on a project linked to the local Tax Office and one of the things that appeared on my radar today was a column related to packages that help you file your tax return. One of these is eSmartTax, a US-based Online Tax Filing and E-File Software. It’s not applicable to my local market, however it caught my eye as it’s allows companies to do e-filing, removing the chance of manual error which is a major problem when working with paper and calculator. Another advantage of using a package like this is that it usually helps save you money by playing “What-If” scenarios with your data. This may help optimise your return figures to ensure you are below or within the appropriate thresholds.
