BizTalk 2004 Updates

Steve, a most excellent guy who works on the BizTalk front here in the UK, sent out
some BizTalk related info together with links to the details. More below:

  1. BizTalk
Server Orchestration Designer for Business Analysts

The
Orchestration Designer for business analysts is a
Visio
based tool that may be installed independently from BizTalk Server.  Business
analysts can draw abstract business process in this tool and hand-off those business
processes to the developer for implementation.  This tool also allows business
analysts to import orchestration diagrams into
Visio
for documentation and viewing.  This tool requires the
.NET
framework and a pre-existing copy of either
Visio
XP or
Visio
2003.

BizTalk
Server 2004 Help will continue to be updated on a quarterly basis to provide you with
the most up to date information. Each release of BizTalk Server 2004 Help includes
more in-depth information, updates and corrections, and new topics in areas such as
migration, deployment, and samples.  The April 2004 edition is highly recommended
as it contains significantly more information than the RTM edition.  For a list

    Server 2004 SDK Update

This
SDK update delivers both fixes and additions to the BizTalk Server 2004 SDK.  Additional
samples delivered in this update focus on the following areas: the Adapter Framework,
Business Activity Monitoring, Human Workflow Services, BPEL, custom pipeline components
and XML tools – including the BizTalk Mapper and Functoids.  Fixes include a
new version of the Base Adapter classes. Also included is an MSMQ adapter that enables
customers to use the MSMQ service built into Windows with BizTalk Server 2004.  Customers
now access to both MSMQ and MSMQT adapters. They should use MSMQT when in-order delivery
is an important requirement and MSMQ when scale-out processing is required.
